Grace Scholarship Fund

The Grace Scholarship Fund exists to support three separate scholarships. The purpose of these scholarships is described below, along with the eligibility requirements. Each of these scholarships is intended to assist deserving students in furthering their studies at NBC&S. The Grace Scholarship Fund will support the following scholarships: the Dean’s List Scholarship, Community Service Scholarship, and the Academic Scholarship. Each student will apply for one or all applicable scholarships.  

To apply for these scholarships and receive maximum consideration, prospective students must submit all admissions materials four weeks prior to upcoming semester.

Dean’s List Scholarship
The Dean’s List Scholarship is awarded to the person who is ranked number one on the Academic Dean’s List the same year the application is submitted.  Although an applicant may appear on the Dean’s List, he or she must submit an application for consideration. Former recipients of this scholarship must wait a minimum of one year before re-applying. 

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must have enrolled with NBC&S for a minimum of one year.  Candidate must have a G.P.A. of 3.8 or higher and is in good standing with the institution.  

Academic Scholarship
The Academic Scholarship is awarded to the person who completes a 1,500-word essay on an approved topic and receives the highest score.  The topic is approved by the NBC&S administration.   This essay will be reviewed and scored by NBC&S Writing Committee.  Former recipients of this scholarship must wait a minimum of one year before re-applying. 

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must have enrolled with NBC&S for a minimum of one year.  Candidate must have a G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher and is in good standing with the institution.  

Community Service Scholarship
The Community Service Scholarship is awarded to the student who exemplifies the love, character, and grace of NBC&S in his community (e.g. prison, nursing homes, hospitals, recreation centers, group homes, etc.).  Students are required to complete a 1,500-word essay on an approved topic regarding community service and ministry.  Former recipients of this scholarship must wait a minimum of one year before re-applying.
